We are looking for an organized, self-motivated, detail driven hard working shipper receiver to fill this position with at least 6 months’ experience in this role.

JOB POSTING:  Bookkeeper for Merchandise Accounting

1. Accuracy of Vendor Invoicing vs J+O Purchase orders

  • Enter Purchase Orders from vendor line sheets
  • Responsible to price goods accordingly to the cost factor the owner will provide for you
  • Once PO’s have been emailed to vendors it is your responsibility to follow up for J+O PO order confirmations and ensure the information matches our orders

 2. Accuracy of Inventory

  • Oversees shipper / receiver to ensure that goods received at the store matches the vendor invoice and are accurately recorded in our inventory system
  • Liaises with UPS / Shipping company to ensure all additional costs (duties, taxes, brokerage fees etc) are correctly applied
  • Liaises with owner to ensure that markup is accurately recorded
  • Complete Shipping Receiving forms accordingly
  • Enter all invoicing into inventory system
  • Manages RA’s, ensures receipt adjustments, return to vendor transactions, credit notes are received and sales transactions are posted accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Works with owner to ensure that adjustments to inventory are posted correctly and in a timely fashion
  • Ensures proper shipment cut off dates are established and followed
  • Ensures that inventory is counted per company schedules and the results of inventory counts are properly recorded

 3. Manages all paperwork, file and communicates to Accounting team

  • Consolidate company credit card statements and organize receipts accordingly
  • Organizing, Scanning, filing and communicating all Invoices, credit notes, bills, expenses, shipping receiving forms, UPS / Canada Post / Shipping invoicing, etc as per our HUBDOC accounting system

 4. Payroll scheduling

  • Tally staff store schedules to provide information to send to Accounting Team

Work Requirements:

  • Bookkeeping Diploma or 3 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper
  • Background in the retail industry
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Sage accounting
