Vêtements means clothes in French. It’s a straightforward name for a label with straightforward goals: to turn our thinking away from the fashion world’s slick cookie-cutter perfectionism, and to revisit clothing’s cultural significance and make it new. Head designer Demna Gvasalia has been working on that premise for three seasons now, surrounded as he is with a new generation of talents whose collective experience traces back to his own school days at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, as well as his past at Louis Vuitton and the Maison Margiela (when Martin was around).

The Fall/Winter 15 collection presented in February at one of Paris most seediest nightclubs, with guests such as Jared Leto and Kanye West was the talk of the town, and had buyers scrambling to pick up the line. Fortunately for you the J+O clientele the Spring/Summer 15  collection was already in-store at J+O, exclusively here in Toronto. The collection itself ? oversized pieces with intelligent twists and features to make it something new, essentially a womens ready-to-wear collection but with unisex fashion becoming more important every season Vetements has had the boys rummaging in the womens racks of J+O !!!
