It's now almost 30 years since Jean Touitou created his "Atelier de Production et de Création' or A.P.C as it is more commonly known. In 1992 he won the now  globally renowned ANDAM Fashion Award which financed an early runway show and the rest as they say is history.

The original concept of the collection is that of a wardrobe that consists of one of each classic item, trench coat, cotton poplin shirt, round-neck sweater, raw selvedge jeans and a musical t-shirt etc  (my personal favourite still is their take of the infamous Woodie Guthrie image ' This machine kill fascists'). That core concept remains true today.

30 years on Touitou has released some amazing CD's via his Section Musicale, check out the Unreleaseable Tapes, collaborated with Kanye West, Vanessa Seward, the infamous Timberland collab and many others. The fashion industry would be a far less interesting place without his contribution.

A.P.C mens, womenswear and accessories have been available in-store and now online at Jonathan+Olivia since we opened in 2005
