Jonathan+Olivia is a forward-minded fashion boutique that retails clothing and accessories from international designers. The J+O customer appreciates intelligent design, exclusivity and personal service without pretense.
How we got here
Jonathan+Olivia is named after owner Jackie O’Brien’s niece and nephew.
In September 2005 the J+O store opened in Vancouver.
In August 2008 Jackie brought her unique concept to Toronto’s burgeoning Ossington Avenue scene.
Seeking a simple existence, Jackie closed the Vancouver store to relocate to Toronto, and marry Surface 2 Air co-founder, Nic Jones.
In June 2010 Jonathan+Olivia renovated the Toronto store to introduce an in- store TOPSHOP boutique, the first of its kind in Canada.
In October 2010 the J+O online shop was launched.
The space
The Jonathan+Olivia flagship store is in the thick of Toronto’s vibrant Ossington and Queen West neighborhood. Happy to be slightly off the beaten track, J+O is adjacent to independent boutiques, galleries and Toronto’s best new restaurants. The space is an inspiring 2400sq foot gallery style store, with custom and reclaimed antique fixtures. Jackie’s French bulldog Estelle can be found sunning herself in the store’s westward facing windows.
